Stand Up to Racism North East

A promotional video created to encourage people to join in on socially distanced protests or an online national rally on the 20th March 2021, the United Nations Day of Action for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The video features figures from around the North East, such as North of Tyne mayor Jamie Driscoll, Chi Onwurah MP, Shaka Hislop alongside many other inspiring figures.

I acted as Co-director, editor and animator, creating the animation featured at the end of the video by incorporating notable landmarks from around the North East into the existing Stand Up To Racism North East logo (graphic above created from animation imagery).

I also created content for the Stand Up to Racism North East’s social media pages, released during the month approaching the Day of Action.

I incorporated different landmarks from around the North East; the Tynemouth Lighthouse and Pier (visible from North Shields), Durham Cathedral, the Angel of the North (Gateshead), the Tyne Bridge and the Apollo Pavilion (Peterlee).
